Hancock Home and Garden Tour

HANCOCK--The public is invited to view some of the loveliest homes and gardens in Hancock from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. Sponsored by the Hancock Beautification Group, Home and Garden Tour 2019 includes five sites, each designed in a unique style. “This is an opportunity for gardening buffs to visit some wonderful properties that are rarely open to the public,” said Cindy Figures, event organizer. “It’s also a chance for us to showcase some of Hancock’s beautiful neighborhoods.” Among the highlights is a hillside home with terraced gardens and a million dollar view. Refreshments will be served throughout the event, and participants have a chance to win gift baskets, which will be on display at each site. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the Hancock City Hall the day of tour beginning at 11:45 a.m. They may be purchased in advance at 5th & Elm in Houghton, the Hancock Community Arts Center and NorthWind Books at Finlandia University.
