A Copper Country native, he began his radio career in Wisconsin, but soon returned home, and joined the staff at WMPL. He then crossed the bridge, and became news director and co-owner of WOLV-FM, WHKB-FM, and WCCY-AM. His weekly "Hall of Fame" country music classics show began on WHKB-FM, and is now broadcast on WCUP-FM. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. For many years, Dick was part of the Weekend Cowboy Band, which performed traditional country music at many venues across the region. He has also been deeply involved in the Copper Country community in many other ways.

Tickets for the Dick Storm Tribute concert are $20.00, and are available through the MTU Ticket Office at tickets.mtu.edu, or by calling 487-2073.
