After School Science & Engineering Classes
6 Thursday Sessions ~ Jan. 14th– Feb. 18th from 4:00 – 5:30 PM
 
Taught by Michigan Tech science and engineering students
Coordinated by Michigan Tech Center for Science & Environmental Outreach at the Great Lakes Research Center
 
Gr. 1-2 Engineering Explorations
Students will design the best paste, a bridge to hold the most weight, a boat that floats, a protective helmet for a brain, the tallest tower to withstand a hurricane, and more!
 
Gr. 3-5 & Gr. 6-8:
 Discover Your Creative Confidence & Inner Maker
 at our 1st ever mobile MakerSpace for youth! (1 class per age group)
 
This class will introduce students to design thinking, creativity, and innovation.
Action-filled problem solving! Students put ideas into action using a variety of materials.  Tinker, dream, invent!
